NextCues was founded with a simple goal: to empower every recruiter to interview with the depth of a domain expert. We believe that better interviews lead to better careers and more successful companies.

Born from a real recruiter's frustration

NextCues started with a simple, frustrating observation. When a consulting firm needs to interview a specialized candidate — a DevOps engineer, a quant analyst, a compliance attorney — they face an impossible choice: pull a domain expert away from billable work, or conduct a shallow interview and hope for the best.

Our founder ran a consulting firm for years and watched this play out constantly. Recruiters are exceptional at process, candidate experience, and culture assessment — but they can't be experts in every role they hire for. That gap leads to bad hires, wasted time, and missed talent.

So we built NextCues. Not just another ATS plugin or static question bank — but a real-time AI co-pilot that sits alongside a recruiter during the interview itself. It surfaces the questions a seasoned interviewer would ask, flags the answers worth probing deeper, and produces a structured evaluation that makes every hiring decision defensible.

The core principle is simple: AI assists. You decide. NextCues never replaces the recruiter's judgment — it makes that judgment sharper, faster, and more consistent across every role and every interview.
